Bloody Mary. Mimosa. Bellini. What do all of these things have in common (besides being delicious)? They are perfectly acceptable to drink at breakfast time! And since we are firm believers that a Sunday brunch is not complete without a brunch cocktail, we decided to work up and sweet and savory cocktail that is perfect to add into your mid-morning breakfast rotation.
This week’s Monday Funday drink, Diane’s Strawberry Cheesecake, inspired us to take some of the same flavors, streamline them, and see if something good came out of it. And guess what? Something great did!
Flavored vodka. We have a rather mighty love-hate relationship with you. Most brands are far too sweet, and some of the so-called “flavors” are so ridiculous (cake? s’mores??) that we nearly go into rage blackouts when we think about it.
But occasionally, a little flavored vodka can really be delicious–but only if you buy Stoli. All other brands must bow before their greatness.
