Welcome back to yet another Monday Funday here at The Woman At The Bar!
If you can believe it (we know we can’t), we are actually headed down the latter half of summer already. Time, my dears, oh how it flies. So to commemorate this very special time of year–and to momentarily shut our ears and eyes agains the fact that it will soon come to a close–we created a delicious and light summer cocktail, perfect for drinking as the sun sets on a warm day.
Since our TBT classic cocktail this week (The Seelbach Cocktail!) included the distinctive and delicious Peychaud’s bitters, we decided to focus our liquor spotlight on that little bottle of magic, since we have found that outside of New Orleans many people are unaware of the brand, the flavor, and the history.
We’ve been feeling rather fancy this week, so we decided to focus our TBT Classic Cocktail energy on a delicious-but-little-remembered classic cocktail that just so happens to include two of our very favorite things: bourbon, and sparking wine!
All aboard the train to Louisville for the Seelback Cocktail!
For this week’s liquor spotlight, we decided to focus on an often unsung hero of the cocktail-making game: bitters! You may only use a few drops of these little buddies in your drinks, but boy oh boy do they pack a punch.
Getting inside their tiny liquid brains and figuring out how they tick is important, so lets do this thing, readers!
