Happy Wednesday, everyone!
Look, we might be getting a little aggressive with our fall-themed drinks, but honestly? We don’t care.
And so, for this week’s hump day quickie cocktail we are mulling some cider, and adding some delicious liquor and, well, making your week infinitely better.
This drink in about as easy as they come — as long as you know how to make spiced cider.
And luckily, making spiced cider is about as easy as it comes too!
The most important element to spiced cider is the mulling spice, and the universally recognized champion of the mulling spices comes from Williams Sonoma.
A jar is going to run you about $25, but luckily you only need about 2 tablespoons of the spices to make a quart of spiced cider — so the stuff lasts a good long while.
The basic recipe for the spiced cider is to pour your cider into a medium sauce pan or stock pot, add your spices, and simmer for 20 minutes (or until your entire house smells like fall, whatever comes first).
Now that you have your cider, here is what you will need to make the Bulleit Hard Cider:
- Approx. 6 oz hot spiced cider
- 2 oz Bulleit bourbon
Pretty. Damn. Simple.
Pour your cider into a mug, add in your Bulleit, give it a quick stir, and you are good to go!
Nothing says fall to us more than a good spiced cider, and when you add in some bourbon the stuff is just about as close to divine perfection as any one drink can be.
Enjoy, everyone!
