Monday Funday #20: The Louisiana Purchase!

LP4

Happy Monday, everyone!

Today’s drink was inspired by one of our favorite liqueurs: St. Germain! We started there and built up a drink influenced by France and New Orleans — so you know it has to be delicious!

Come inside to check out The Louisiana Purchase!

Now, don’t let the color of this drink deceive you — the only things going in this puppy are liquor-based, so it packs quite a punch! A very, very delicious punch.

For The Louisiana Purchase, you will need:

Gather your ingredients, plus your jiggers, cocktail shaker, and martini glass.

First, fill your martini glass with ice to chill, set it aside.

LP8

Place your 2 dashes of Peychaud’s directly into the bottom of your glass.

LP9

Follow that up with your 2 oz of Stoli Vanil.

LP12

Add in your 1/4 oz Grand Marnier.

LP10

And finish it off with 1/2 oz St. Germain.

LP11

Fill your cocktail shaker 2/3 full of ice, pour your ingredients over, and shake for 30-60 seconds.

LP1

Take the ice out of your martini glass, and strain that deliciousness in there!

LP2

And there you have it, New Orleans meets Paris! A delicious, slightly sweet, but very stiff drink for your Monday evening needs.

LP5

Enjoy it, everyone!
