We hope you all had lovely weekends, and that your work week got off to a good start–but even if it didn’t, we are here to help with a delicious new cocktail!
Since this week is leading up to the 4th of July, we decided to make some down home all American drinks to celebrate, and to kick it all off we have a bourbon & peach concoction that is certain to impress!
Come inside and let us tell you all about the Summer Crush!
We made it to the last Friday in June, we are about to pass the half-way mark for 2014, and we think that is a reason to celebrate.
So today, we will celebrate with a delicious liqueur whose manufacture involves French men going into the Alps, gathering flowers, and riding a bicycle down the mountain in order to deliver the blossoms to be made into alcohol.
How old timey and fabulous, right? Don’t you just feel like you have been transported into the French version of Heidi?
In case it has not become clear to you yet, we here at The Woman At The Bar are huge tikidrink fans. But above all the tiki drinks, our favorite is the ominously named and ridiculously delicious Zombie.
And because we love you so much, we decided to stop holding out on you and just give you our recipe already!
As you have likely gathered at this point, when it comes to alcohol we here at The Woman At The Bar prefer liquor of the hard variety. But on occasion, we do appreciate a nice glass of wine, and so today we thought we would break down some of the basics about wine varietals for you!
Flavored vodka. We have a rather mighty love-hate relationship with you. Most brands are far too sweet, and some of the so-called “flavors” are so ridiculous (cake? s’mores??) that we nearly go into rage blackouts when we think about it.
But occasionally, a little flavored vodka can really be delicious–but only if you buy Stoli. All other brands must bow before their greatness.
