We’re ba-aack!
Hi-de-ho there, readers! It’s Monday all over again, and we have you covered with a brand new original creation. Did you spend your weekend eating Peeps and searching for plastic eggs filled with jelly beans? Well, we’ve had just about enough of that. Time to get down to business. Spring is officially here and we are pulling out all the stops to celebrate, starting with our very favorite liquor: Pisco! Come inside to get the recipe for this absolutely delicious new arrival, The Golden Gate Bridge!
As we have mentioned before in our various treatises about pisco, this was the liquor of choice in the great city of San Francisco for many years, and so in honor of that city (and because this makes a delicious spring/summer drink), we give to you The Golden Gate Bridge–a modern feat of cocktail engineering! For this delectable creation, you will need:
- 1 1/2 oz Pisco Brandy
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1/2 oz Amaretto liqueur (ex: Disaronno)
- 3/4 oz pineapple juice
- 3/4 oz coconut water
Gather all of your ingredients plus your cocktail shaker, strainer, jiggers, and tall serving glass.
First, pour your lime juice and simple syrup into your shaker glass.
Next, add your 1 1/2 oz (modern shot) of pisco, and 1/2 oz of amaretto.
Finally, add in 3/4 oz each of pineapple juice (not from concentrate!) and unflavored coconut water.
Now fill your shaker tin approximately 2/3 full of ice, pour your ingredients in, secure the shaker glass, and shake shake shake for about 15-20 seconds. Then add ice to your tall serving glass, and use your traditional strainer to pour that frosty goodness in there!
And there you have it! A delicious and refreshing delight, inspired by The City By The Bay! Trust us, even if it still feels like winter where you are, this will immediately transport you to wonderfully temperate climes. So don’t wait, today is the perfect day to test this one out!
Very clever-love the “straw bridge”!
